About Us
The idea
When people ask how we came up with the idea, I tell them that it all started with my bra drawer. My husband asked why my bra drawer was overflowing with bras, most of which still had tags on them. The truth was, I bought bras based on a measurement that I was given at the most popular lingerie store on earth. I figured they knew what they were doing and the size they gave me was correct, but boy was I wrong. I would buy a few cute styles in different colors because they always had deals on buying multiples since their bras were $60 to $80 each. Then I would go home and try them on and every one would fit differently! I now know, I'm not the only one that has had this experience! I now know, I'm not the only one with maybe 2 or 3 "go to" bras that fit the best. The biggest problem with the old way of measuring is that no two boobs are the same! Wouldn't it be a great idea to come up with a new way of measuring where each breast is measured separately to give the wearer a perfect fit every single time! And by perfect, I mean comfortable!
Patent
After a lot of hard work, countless drawings, models and prototypes we filed for a patent. In April of 2021 our patent was granted! The gage bra was officially born! The century old practice of measuring for a bra with a sewing tape is over!
The Future
They say that the first step in any journey is the hardest. We have been on this journey for 5 years and counting. We know what we want gage to become, we can see that it will make women's lives' better! Gage will be the first bra you won't want to take off!
